ASAM Level I Classes

Based upon the finding from your Alcohol and Drug evaluation, you may be required to attend a  Substance Abuse Treatment Program conducted by a Department of Human Resources (DHR) certified treatment provider. North Metro Traffic School now offers these ASAM Level I counseling sessions on-site every Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. or Tuesday nights from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Each session is only an hour and 1/2 so two sessions are given each night, depending on your preference.

These group sessions are refered to as ASAM Level I programs and run a minium of 17 weeks but can last up to 52 weeks of treatment sessions depending on a client's compliance and progress within the program. Each weekly session consists of 3 hours of alcohol and drug education, life-skills and group therapy.

Written progress reports are also supplied to the appropriate court or probation office for each individual enrolled in the program. These reports will detail information regarding attendance, drug or alcohol screens, financial responsibility, timeliness and monitored attendance at AA/NA meetings if required.
