Georgia Defensive Driving

GEORGIA DEFENSIVE DRIVING

North Metro Traffic School currently offers more Georgia Defensive Driving courses than any other location in our area. Defensive driving classes are held every Saturday from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., twice a month on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in addition to alternating Tuesday and Wednesday/Wednesday and Thursday weekday evenings from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.  All of our defensive driving programs are regulated and approved by the State of Georgia. Upon completion, every student that fulfills the class requirements will receive an official certificate of completion from the Department of Driver Services.

So, if you are looking for the largest Defensive Driving school in Georgia, we are your best choice.

As required by Georgia law, all defensive driving courses consist of 6 hours of instructor lead classroom instruction. Our Atlanta defensive driving school offers this 6 hour program every Saturday from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or once a month on Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. and once on Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Our Atlanta driving school is located in a professional office park and conveniently located and easy to find. You can either call our office during normal business hours Monday through Friday or even enroll online. We accept either cash or major credit cards.

Please remember you must be on time and that the entire 6 hour class must be completed in a single session to receive credit.

Here are just a few reasons students take Defensive Driving classes in Georgia.

Insurance Discount
Georgia law states that if you are over the age of 25 years and have a clean driving record, you may be eligible for a 10% discount in your insurance premiums if you take a state approved Defensive Driving class. The discount will remain for no longer than 3 years but the course may be taken again at that time.

Ticket Dismissal/Court Condition

If you have received a speeding ticket or another moving vehicle violation in the State of Georgia, a judge may order you to take a state certified Defensive Driving class as part of your sentence. Many times a judge will reduce or even reduce the charges against you once you have completed the class.

Points Reduction
In the state of Georgia, you may reduce up to 7 points from your driving record once every 5 years if you attend a defensive driving school like ours.

License Suspension
If your license has been suspended because you have accumulated 15 or more points on your driving record, you will be required to attend an in-person defensive driving school in order to have your license reinstated in addition to paying a reinstatement penalty.

These are just some of the reasons a person would take a defensive driving class. If you have a question or additional concerns regarding your individual situation, please call our office and someone will be happy to try and help.
